What you'll accomplish

By the end of this guide, you'll have a Claude Project set up with your restaurant's actual policies and templates loaded inside it — so every time you need to write a coaching notice, corrective action plan, or policy summary, Claude already knows your store's format and you don't have to explain context from scratch.

What you'll need

  • Claude Pro account at claude.ai ($20/month — cancel anytime)
  • A copy of your employee handbook or key policies (PDF, Word doc, or even a photo of the printed pages works)
  • Any document templates your franchise uses (write-up form, CAP template, etc.)
  • Time needed: 30–45 minutes to set up; 2–3 minutes per document after
  • Cost: $20/month for Claude Pro

Step 1: Create Your Claude Pro Account

  1. Go to claude.ai and click Get Claude Pro
  2. Create an account with your email and subscribe to Pro ($20/mo)
  3. You'll land on Claude's main chat interface

Why Pro? The free version of Claude works for basic tasks, but the "Projects" feature — which lets you upload documents and save context — requires Pro. If you use Claude every workday, $20/mo works out to less than $1 per workday.
